Adelaide Crows has partnered with We Create Print Deliver and Indigenous artist Pat Caruso to create a powerful and meaningful Indigenous Guernsey design. This special project is more than just a uniform—it’s a tribute to culture, identity, and connection to Country. The design will be worn with pride and purpose, honouring the stories, symbols, and traditions of First Nations people while bringing communities together through sport.
Where we come from is just as important as where we are going, the back of the guernsey is a testament to this. The feathers adorn the left and right side of the guernsey, and the lower back; the wearer is ready to take flight, We Fly As One.
The layered fingerprints that encircle the guernsey (are different colours, sizes, and organic shapes) reiterate the messaging of the many coming together, a shared journey, uplifting each other, igniting the passion for the team and game. The spears at the top, remain at the ready.
The Kaurna shield standing tall with the spear sends a message to those who follow; we are relentless, we seek competition, we are a tribe, and we will win. The female, male Aboriginal symbols and hand prints represent the many that make up the Adelaide Crows.
The coastline continues across the lower back within the background, water is an important part of who we are as people and the trails of footprints are symbolic of the journey taken and the one that is to come.
